The Saturday Evening Blog Post – March and April

I’m participating, again, in the Saturday Evening Blog Post, hosted by Elizabeth Esther. It’s a once-a-month chance to highlight one post from the previous month. We skipped March because it fell in the middle of Lent, so today we can highlight one from March and one from April.

In March, I had One of Those Days and chose to document it in detail for posterity. And for all the other stay-at-home moms who have toddlers and wonder if the daily insanity is unique to them. Many wrote how comforting it was to read of another mom who leaped from grocery-store tantrums to preventing electrocution in the space of thirty minutes.

April was a month of spiritually turning a corner, so many of my posts centered on faith and spirituality. Probably the biggest “ah-hah” moment was my discovery that I’d believed in The Wrong God.

I also did a series on depression, which it seems most people are uncomfortable talking about very openly. But  many people also struggle on, in secret, and the secrecy slows the process of recovery immensely. I’m linking to those posts as well in hopes that some may find help there: Lift Up the Downcast (6 Tips for Overcoming Depression), Five More Tips for the Downcast, and Keep It Simple Stupid (and I’m calling myself stupid, so please don’t be offended!).
