My Feed Is Broken and I Need Your Help
I know I’ve been a bit scarce around here. I hosted Thanksgiving last week, I’m pushing hard to finish some big projects, and I just haven’t had anything to say. I have a rule that I do not blog unless I have something to say.
Anyway, thanks to a friendly heads-up from a reader, I just found out that my feed turned to total gibberish over the weekend. In my attempt to fix it, I have had to sign up for a new RSS service. I’m not sure if that has corrected the problem. I may need y’all to resubscribe to receive posts in your Google reader. Update: The RSS feed appears to be working! Yay! However, I am moving my email service so everything is broadcasting through the same channel and y’all don’t get posts twice in your inboxes. That would be spam, and I hate spam.
(In case you’re wondering what the heck a “feed” or an “RSS” is, here’s an analogy. A feed is like a radio signal, only it sends out my blog posts instead of my voice or the latest hit music. I’ve been using one broadcasting service, but it stopped transmitting my broadcast last week. I have a new service broadcasting my posts now, but I’m not sure if I’m still on the same channel. You may need to change the channel to receive it.)
Will you do me a super-quick favor? If you read in Google Reader (or something similar) will you leave a comment that you saw this post? If you needed to resubscribe, will you let me know that too? Update: Thank you to everyone who let me know my feed is working!
Very Important Information for anyone who receives Joy in this Journey via email:
- You will receive posts from Feedblitz, not MailChimp, starting later this week.
- Add feedblitz@mail.feedblitz.com to your address book or email whitelist immediately (if you don’t, my posts will go to your spam folder!).
- Only unsubscribe using the links provided in each email, not via your ISP’s spam or abuse buttons.
- Look out for the message from FeedBlitz advising you that the change has taken place.
Again, I’m so sorry about the mess. I hope you bear with me while I work out the kinks yet again. Hopefully the final result will be beautiful and easy and totally worth it. 🙂
